We’re Pathways Support, an award-winning care service in Portsmouth and we provide a range of care and support services for adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs in their homes and community.

We’re seeking to recruit some great new care workers; people with the right values and attitude to support local adults in their own homes with a range of every day life skills – could this be you?

Our main priority for this job role is to find people with the right attitude and value to match our own! You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications to get started – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent care worker.

Above all we want someone that:

  • Can provide excellent care and support to all our residents.
  • Treats others with dignity and respect
  • Works well as part of a team.
  • Have a proven work history (not necessarily in the health and social care field, in-house training will be provided)

The duties are varied, and no two days will be the same. Our residents are individuals, and they all deserve to be treated as such. Duties may include supporting with personal care needs, as well as helping people to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing such as arts and crafts, playing and watching the football, drama, musical evenings, gardening, shopping trips and social occasions.

There are a range of different shift patterns available to fit in with any other commitments you may already have. We have part & full time rolls available.

Hours: 16-37.5 per week, Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Permanent, Salary: From £17,400.00 per year (F/T – pro rata for part time positions), Additional pay: Separate pay for sleep in support,

Schedule: 10 hour shift, 12 hour shift, 8 hour shift,Day shift, Night shift, Overtime, Weekends
